I got my new JP100 Sterling today. it's beautiful and works great. It's my first Musicman or Sterling and I do have one question. The whammy bar doesn't seem to fit into the hole on the tremelo. Even with the tightening screw removed. Is there a trick I'm missing? Couldn't find anything on the website about that particular issue. I thought I'd ask you before trying any type of lube. The setup info on the website probably works better for an experienced tech than for a newbie like me. My other tremelo bars on my two other guitars (Strat and Ibanez Satriani) slid right in and then a nut tightened up the swing. I'm a bit baffled by this. It almost looks just too big for the hole. The whammy bar is polished but not threaded or finished in any way (indents or raised edge or anything). I tried a little candle wax on the bar but it really seems just a hair too big to fit. If I can't make it fit can I buy a new bar that's sized correctly. I do love the guitar.
Any help you can give I'd appreciate.
Thanks,
Dave

Hmm, I've got a JP60 and had a 50 (the trem is the same that cames on the JP100), and both arms popped right in... Maybe yours came with the wrong bar? I'd contact the store you bought it from and/or the SBMM dealer in your area.

Doesnt fit in the hole at all or just wont click in? I had the later issue once but sounds like you have loosened the tightening screw which did it for me

Have any of you solved this problem? I have the same problem on the same guitar. Tightening screw doesn't help.

I am having a similar issue. Just got a JPM six string, first Ernie Ball guitar. My trem fits but does not seem to go down all the way. It does not click, and although I can move the bar and make the bridge move, it comes out with absolute ease (it just feels like it is not going deep enough as it should, based on my other guitars). I called customer service but did not understand what I need to do to fix this. Do I remove the plate on the back and adjust the B screw posted on some other thread in this forum? It is not the spin of the bar, but the fit inside the bridge that is not working for me. No click, no lock. Seems to be too high (away from the mice, if you will). Any help greatly appreciated!
