Hello, mikael henriksson from Sweden here, now I need your help!, I bought a used "sterling by musicman ax40," that I wonder about and do not understand is that when I google and search the web for a ax40 with the same body in which it is milled for floyd rose tremolo as it is on my guitar, I can not find a like, is this some special model of ax40 that I bought or what is the model I have and what year it is made, the hue of the body and the head is in trans red, there are also chrome tuners on but these may well be exchanged, grateful response, Sincerely, Mikael Henriksson.

I have 2 pictures of the guitar in my album, look at them and say what you think!, is it done by a earlier owner or is it done in the factory?.

No, it is not a one off or special run from what I can tell. I have seen and played them before. Not sure of the year it was made, but, they are cool guitars.

Yep I agree with you, it's actually cool to have a ax40 with a body that is lowered into the wood for the bridge, it will be interesting to see in the future how many of these ax40 I will see!, Anyway, so I own one now and I'm very happy about it, Sincerely, mike
