I just bought a used 4 string White single Pick up Reflex bass from Guitar C. They said that it came with a 25th anniversiry case, but the bass's head stock just says Reflex and not 25th Ann. is this a common thing? or is this a 25th Ann bass?

There was only a limited number of the "25 Anniversary" Basses offered. They were finished in Venetian Red only. Subsequent Reflex Basses (from 2010) just had "Reflex" on the headstock and offered in the other finishes mentioned above.

25th ANNI.... Venetian Red (Only).

Reflex.... Black, White, Vintage Sunburst, Vintage Gold.

Hi Gav, I'm pretty sure I've seen Reflex basses with Pacific blueburst tops - also they were offered with the full rosewood neck (rosewood LE) but the Reflex version also had a natural rosewood top. I thought I'd also seen the Reflex in a sort of orange colour as well - I'm wondering whether the initial production predated the cutting back of the colour range on Musicman basses?

The last production year they were available in Pacific Blue Burst... and yes, there were a very few made during a limited run with a full rosewood neck and rosewood top. JOSH

That was a one-off based on one the company built for Randy Jackson. His was Lamborghini Orange so to make mine a bit different, one of the guys suggested a Lamborghini Orange Burst. It was gorgeous.

The blue dawn was a sparkle - 2007 LE on all models and also offered for around a year or so around 2001.

Pacific blueburst was not a sparkle but a trans colour - available on Sterling, SR4 and SR5 for a long period in the 2000s/201xs - and Reflex in 2015 apparently.

Thanks for the info

That’s it 2007.
2006 was (forget the official colour title) but it was a surprisingly nice “Brown” colour with gold hardware.

Wasn’t there also a green burst LE. ?

I think they were as follows:-

2004 - Radiance red or Envy Green/black headstock
2005 - buttermilk
2006 - Black with gold hardware (IIRC)
2007 - Blue dawn
2008 - Sequioa Gold (a sort of root beer sparkle colour).

I don't remember a green burst - there were the three editions of Dargie Delight - I can't remember the years for those. They changed over to doing PDN (Premier Dealer Network) limited editions in the 201x years, and more recently, very limited numbers of BFR models.

Amongst others, BFR Sterlings were done in the 2000s which had very nice colours and special figured tops with no pickguard - there was also a BFR redwood Stingray model. I'm sure others will be able to fill in the gaps.

I rather like the 2007LE blue dawn Stingray 4HH I've had from new - in fact I gave it a bit of a clean and polish earlier today, and lemon oiled the rosewood fretboard - it looks rather stunning again haha!!

Again thank you for the information. It definitely wasn’t Dargie I was thinking of (you can’t miss or forget it) but must of been something else I’ve seen and time has passed.

My 05LE, I’ve had that from new and it’s definitely a keeper.

The 06LE has always caught my eye out of them all, I don’t normally like gold hardware but I think it really works on this colour

I had an ‘07 blue dawn Silhouette bass. Beautiful finish!

Envy green and Radiance red, both with black headstocks pre-dated the ‘05 buttermilk LEs

That could of been what I was thinking Envy Green. Was it a burst style finish? (The colour I’m thinking is like a green version of the Blue Dawn)
