Hi Guys,
The Silo I just got came with 9-42 Guage strings. I would like to change them to 10-46. Just to check, I held a 46 guage string in the low E's nut slot and it did not go in as easy as the 42 did, it kind of "grabbed" the string. Now this has the "compensated" nut. Do you think Ill be ok changing the strings? Will I have to widen the nut slots? And if I have to widen the nut slots will that effect the intonation?
Thanks,
N
