Grand Central Music on Ebay has a new Axis: LE Sequoia Gold/Gold hdw.

There's just something about this Axis that looks soooooooo uniquely cool!! It's elegant but simple at the same time (not having a figured top).

What do you guys think about the "color" scheme??

I'm really not a "gold" hdw person, but on this guitar - wow!! I want it - where am I going to put it??!!!

I love Sequoia gold, I saw it at LIMS, SEX in paint, it's nearly impossile to photograph, I can't understand why more folks haven't bought 08 LE's - great colour.... It's on my shopping list...

I love the colour as well, and I agree that any pics any of you have seen does not do the colour justice. It's simply amazing in person.
Ironically I was just surfing the web trying to find a Silo in the colour.
I don't know why we haven't seen one just yet!?
I know there's one on the EB site, but I want to see one with a rosewood board.

Sequoia Gold is cool, but I still prefer the all rosewood myself. I love the brown flowing from the body to the headstock.

That does look pretty good but IMO would look better sans the gold hardware.

That's what I was thinking as well. As I'm not a big fan of gold hardware. But seeing the Petrucci today, I actually changed my mind. It does look good with gold. And I dare say, the 2008 LE wouldn't have looked as good with chrome hardware. The gold seems to compliment the color.

It does....sadly on guitars I've bought, gold hardware has always been a very temporary thing as it seems to wear off very quickly. Not sure if I've been unlucky (they weren't cheap guitars) and of course I have no knowledge of the durability of EBMM gold hardware as it's so rare
