It is a nickname for my last name. I have always been "Koogie" or "Koogs" and the 2k represents the year I picked the guitar back up seriously! ;)

Wish I could say the same :( (got my first one in '91 and then another a year later - thankfully they were both Fndr knock offs).

Oddjob - pretty much what it says - I teach 7th and 8th graders (it is either an odd job or I'm insane) - it is also the big guy from Goldfinger (1 of my fav movies).

Mobay45 - Mobay for Montego Bay, Jamaica - One of my favorite places and one that I frequent every chance I get. The 45 came about because someone else was using Mobay on Yahoo and I was 45 at the time.

Mine doesn't really have any meaning. Been using it for a while now, part of my e-mail address, and my name on all of the forums I use. I was thinking of what name to use when I saw the "element skateboarding" sticker on my old bass...

At the time I registered I was playing for a band called "Old Blue Moses". Now I'm not. On bassworld.co.uk it was always shortened to OBBM so I changed it to that but I decided to stick with the original here.

Um, it had something to do with the life cycle of the tse-tse fly, I think, and a pie chart drawn on a chalkboard in Africa.

Yeah, I think that's it.

My screen name is shrouded in mystery, I sort of know where and when, but I don’t know who gave it to me.

A long time a go I got a gig with the Bellamy Brothers, I’d been out with them for a couple of months and one day we were playing a state fair. I believe it was the New Mexico state fair and it was warm so I left my band jacket in my bunk and went to checked out the fair.

Later that night after we left and hit a truck stop I got my jacket and went in to the rest room, while washing my hands I noticed it in the mirror. “Psycho Ward” permantly embroidered on the left front of my jacket. Oh the a$$holes did a good job, beautiful stitching, not too big, not too small…

I have no “memory” of any behavior that would justify such a title! But it stuck; I may as well have it put on my drivers’ license.

Oh yeah, one more mystery from that bunch, we were in Germany for several weeks and I got a great deal on a Hohner chromatic harmonica. I was having a blast trying to learn to play it. I practiced all the time, on the bus, at load in, in my room, I just couldn’t put it down, but then it got stolen and for the last two weeks of the trip I was really bummed out.

When we got back to the states, it miraculously reappeared in my bunk!
