Pretty much only one option dude, Aussie Post International service, called EMS. All others such as DHL, Fed Ex etc are WAY too expensive. I shipped an EBMM to France last year, cost $210, that was the cheapest by several hundred dollars. DHL quoted me $1100. CRAZY!

I'm with Rob, I've shipped guitars all over the world and received them too. I use a company called APX a few times and they were pretty good and cheap but they've dropped off the radar. The only problem with Australia Post is the person that you get on the day. They have a "rule" of what size they will allow and some of them will say that a guitar is oversize. If that's the case just go to a different post office and try again, I've had staff argue in front of me about whether or not it's too big to sound via Australia Post.

It is the same everywhere, when I tried to ship Simons BCB ASS to him, the US post office said to big even though thier website said it was fine, just a royal pain in the butt, tis the reason I use UPS expensive kind of but easy to use and reliable.

The last time I shipped via fed ex the helpful attendant at the counter told me the highest allowable declarable value for a guitar would be $500. I have not confirmed this but I certainly will before I ship with them again.

I shipped one guitar overseas and the only option for me was DHL at a cost of $180.
