Yup, no real difference.
The bfr was offered with a full rosewood neck as a special feature in comparisson to a regular bongo. It was offered for a longer period but at a upcharge and only on the bongo.
But rosewood necks where also offered 2 times in the past for a short order window. (Just like the PDN offerings) and in these short order time the rosewood necks where available to order on all models of bass and guitar. My guess is that a bfr bongo would have been quite a bit more expensive than the rosewood neck orders.

The Special order editions from I guess 2008 on (?) had the bfr logo. It was essentially the same game as with the pdn, but only that every dealer could order an instrument with the special specs for neck and colour within the order window. There was bfr rosewood, bfr roasted. I think there was a small upcharge, at least for the Big Al 5 bfr I ordered new.
