Diamond Memory Lane analog Delay. Works like a bloody dream. Come to think of it, other than my Korg Dt-10 and eventually my EB Wah, I only use Diamond pedals. They have a killer distortion and chorus; and the new vibrato comes out this Spring.

Diamond Guitar Pedals for anyone interested. Made in Canada!

Diamond are sweeee-t. Just picked up a J-Drive and the Drive SE for road test:D
As for delay? I've been usin a super-cheep Dano PBJ:rolleyes:
Hopefully, there is either Memory Lane or a DD-3 somewhere in the future ...

DD-3 at the moment. I've also got a Cornish T.E.S on the way sometime soon...

Oh Man ...you'll love the Cornish stuff, it is THE BEST !! I had the pleasure of playing with Pete when he would dep in my band years ago (he's a great sax player..particularly baritone) I still bump in to him occasionally, his workshops are near by in Heathfield E.Sussex. He is a Really top guy. I keep meaning to buy some of his cables. He has some interesting stories and is completely Anti Tru-bypass ;)

I tried out a DD-20 and it seems to be the only one I'll ever need... It's quite expensive, though....:(

I use the Delay in my Rocktron Xpression Rack multi-effects unit.

NICE! as programmable as the Giga-delay(very nice by the way) without the extra foot bedal... Personally I'm not fond of individual pedals, but to each his own!! I still like the sound of them!

I'm totally with you bro. I wish I could still lug my rack to a gig, but without a car, I just can't do it. It's too much to tote in a taxi (guitars, pedalboard, rack, speaker). So my rack is in the closet for now. :(

Used to use a DD3, and just sold my Voodoo Analog chorus; the last pedal to go.

Recently just picked up the DD-20 Giga Delay. That thing is incredible! Loving the presets and the modulation delay!

I agree! Got one last year. They really are fab. Quite pricey tho but you essentially are getting quite a few delay units (tape, analogue, stereo) in one with a few extras thrown in. You can save 4 settings and have a fifth set on the pedal. There can't be many situations where you'd need more than 5 different delay settings. So its almost like having a rack delay without the huge price tag. And you can pick them up on flee - bay at a decent price.

Highly recommended! :D

Line 6 echo park. I like this delay pedal for tap tempo and the trails setting. Unlike the big green box, this pedal runs on a standard 9v power supply or battery. The trails setting on this pedal allows you to stop effecting your guitar sound by turning the pedal off, BUT lets your previous delays fade naturally.

I now use an SIB Mr. Echo - a great little unit for $100.

I have used and tried all kinds of delays. The SIB replaced a DD6, an SIB Echodrive, a DD3, and a Wayhuge Aquapuss (which wasn't mine to begin with - went back to it's owner when they started going for big dough on fleabay - what a shame - a very cool pedal). These are ones I've owned or had for a long time.

I also tested out many others, the SPF I5, the T-Rex Replica, the Maxon AD999 and the line 6 stuff too (echo park & delay modeler).

What I found is that, for me, too much delay was, well, too much.

I read where Joe Satriani said he uses his delays instead of reverb for a short echo becasue he thinks reverb is too mushy. So I tried that, and he was kind of right. A simple delay instead of reverb wokrs nice. Anymore than that and I think it really ahs to be integral to the song - think of "Run Like Hell" - awesome use of delay.

My two cents.

Why the SIB? It is a simulated tape echo that gives around 500ms of delay (I wanted a bit more than 300ms - which rules out a LOT of analog delays) and is very very easy to use.

Norrin, thats exactly how i use my DD-3, just a really short delay that sounds like reverb, it sounds really great, much better than reverb IMO. I read that same thing from Satch, he knows TONE!
