Just picked up a Mesa Express 5:25. Will arrive Monday. Can't wait. I've been wanting a Mesa combo for 9 months now. Finally got one.

I'm assuming you have a recto and a roadster for sterio purposes only???

i hade a stereo setup before i bougth the mesas.
about 6-7 years ago, i used two marshall heads. a 6100 and a silver jubilee 2550 head. sold the 6100 for the dual recto. two month later mesa introduced the roadster, if i had known this earlier, i would not have bought the dual recto....because back in those days JP played the Road King and i loved his sound on TOT that was the reason for buying a mesa.
as the roadster was out, i did a test drive on it.....and that was the moment, where the silver jubilee had to go....so i sold the silver fullstack and bought the roadster.
btw. the stereo setup with the recto and silver jubilee was awesome sounding! best of both worlds.
but the roadster is cool as well.....

everything is hooked up to the RJM RG-16 where i can select between both preamps. did an update yesterday and now i can use the preamps A/B or A+B (parallel).
in front of there are 4 mxr pedals looped. after the preamp-section i have an old IPS33B harmonizer looped, so i can switch it in and out of the signal chain.
the g-major is the last unit of the effectchain and makes a nice stereo sound, from there i go back to both poweramps all the time.
that´s my setup at the moment and how it works.

yesterday i picked up a peavey classic 50/50 power amp. wired it up with a second g-major an my Mesa Studio Preamp - next week i´ll get an ADA MP-1 - maybe i´m going back to a full 19" racksystem.....we´ll see. :D

As for my amp I use Modded Mesa Mark III with 4x12 cabinet based on some really rare Celestion speakers (can't even tell you the model since I saw them only once and the name wasn't familiar at all). I found it the most versatile and best sounding amp so far.

I'd like to however try Mark V. Rectos aren''t for me since they are too dirty in my taste. I also used some peaveys (5150 1st series are the best of all of peavey's), rack systems (including mentioned ADA MP-1) and some custom-bulit amps.

Once I have some decent pictures of my backline I will upload them for you to check out my toys. I'll also upload some pictures of my "Balls" as soon as the new one arrives.

All the best,
Mike

As my main rig a Mesa Boogie TriAxis --> Mesa Boogie 2:90 Simul --> ENGL Pro V30's with a Intellifex for FX :)

I use my Rocktron Chameleon with computerspeakers for practice. An incredible stereo sound from this little beast!

ADA MP1, wow, I ran those in 89 :) You're going all out classic metal with that rig. I still have the ADA footswitch.

Soon to be this, since I'm buying it back from Chad. It used to be mine, then I traded it for a Mark V head, now its coming back home. (Sorry for using your pic, Chad. Haha.)

No worries Phil. If it is going to go back to anyone I'm glad is you. I'll miss it but am looking to trying a new flavor of amp. Marshall JCM800 Cali mod by Mike Fortin. Should be about another two months. Hard to wait but will be worth it in the end.
