It seems like EB has the best quality control than any other manufacturer. I've played Fenders that looked exactly the same but both sounded and felt completely different and then i play two Classic Rays and they both sound and feel great. Why are u guys better than the rest at delivering the same great product?

Big enough to get things done, small enough to maintain focus and the passion from the top trickles down to a crew that seem to give a damn.

I really don't know the sales and production numbers, but I can
see what's hanging on the wall at the local retailers. Fender has
a broad spectrum of price points, reaching down to very low.

EBMM, very similar to LakLand, has a narrow spectrum of price
points, with the majority of EBMMs on-the-rack being USA-built
mainline product, and then having only one additional range, a
range that doesn't feed the bottom of the market but fills in
immediately below the mainline.

IOW, I'm theorizing that EBMM is more practiced, polished, and
focused at the mainline production while Fender seems to be
all-over-the-map. I'm speculating that this greatly promotes a
better consistency of product by EBMM vs Fender.

Employees make or brake a company. The MM workers all deserve a raise!

I was at a gig where a few different bands where playing and a bass player ( jazz and upright player) picked up my Sr5 andwithout hitting a note said " you can really feel the quality before you even plug it in "
That Says it all to me

EB is a family owned business. Like any business they want to make money but they genuinely care about what has their name on it.

+1.

When anyone asks me about "Artist Signature" instrument models,
I generally reply that I don't even know who all those artists are,
and that the only important signatures on my instruments are the
signatures of the folks who built them: Dave Wendler, Bill Roberts,
Dan Clement, Stuart Spector, HP Wilfert, etc have autographed
some of their products, which have fallen into my hands. While I
don't have an autographed EBMM, and I know that Ernie Ball has
joined that great jam in the sky, I also know that Sterling Ball is
even more concerned about honoring his late father's name than
he is about honoring his own .... so the "Ernie Ball" decal is really
at least as significant as any hand-wrought signature.

My new Stinray HH

I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of my new Stingray HH. It feels solid and is indeed perfect. I am not easy to please when it comes to basses. I have other basses from other makers that are of equal quality, but they cost me considerably more. from my experience, I have not found an instrument of this quality in this price range.

“The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.” – Benjamin Franklin

This is why I don't mind shelling out the cash for all-American made basses. EBMM have obviously done something right and learned this motto. I've never played an EBMM that had less than superb action, fit, and finish.
