How could selling that even cross your mind!?

Nice to see you around every now and then, too!

nice to see you too!

i feel like playing guitar these days. i kinda miss it. so i was trying to get some cash easy. i figure i'll try to get a used silhouette now. That might take some time as i don't think i ever seen a used one for sale around here.

Don't you just hate it when you have expensive hobbies? I'm contemplating of getting the new 7d and a new lens which'll probably equate to around 2 bongo's. I thought i conquered bongo and slr gas but you just brought it back with your 24-70 and RW bongo. Thanks :(

Electric bass guitar ain't an expensive hobby. Sure, it ain't stamp collecting or knitting, but it aint' like being an outdoorsman as is prominent where I come from.

the way i manage it all financially (basses and photography) is that i don't buy gear that loses value (too much). That's what i love about both. Holding value and i have years to envoy them as much as i want to.

anyway, i could always brag i have a real unique rosewood neck. nice, smooth... i can't really find the right words to describe the feeling of picking it up. heck, it was made for me!

still, picking up my old beaten up sterling make me smile every time. really didn't spend much getting that one (used).

i was recently looking for leica cameras and lenses. now that's REALLY expensive. maybe someday. but that is getting really off-topic.

Also, the percieved cost of hobbies depend heavily on your world location, market situation and average income.

For example, my "standard" 25th HH cost me twice as much as the BFR version of the same bass in the US market. And you can imagine that I'd need to resell mine for less than half the price, because that's where the international used market is. And 2500 USD is a heluva lot of money to lose! So, bass gear is really not a good investment for me.

However, it's still much better than cars: You can literally watch their depreciation!

Coming from someone who has a 2 nikon cameras and 5 lenses i know it can be a pain to manage financially. I just gave up on my other hobby of modifying import cars! JOSH
