has anyone played a fender jass bass is it better than a stingray?
bovinehost said:Hmmm. I can certainly compare my Custom Shop 64 Jazz to a Stingray. I've also had two pre-65 Jazz basses and remember ONE of them fondly.
You're definitely comparing apples and oranges, though, or, if you like, Marthas and OJs.
Both basses are pretty snarly, which is probably why I mostly play either a MM or a Jazz.
Here's a clue, though - I take one of the Bongos as my main bass and guess what goes as backup?
Hint: sometimes it's even another Bongo.

cgworkman said:NOOOOOO!!! Get an American Deluxe P or J. The extra money is well spent!!!!
I've got the Quilted top model --

Mantaray said:Now you just did a very bad thing! You put me in an even greater dilemma! You see I tried a Deluxe Jazz quite some time ago and it was AMAZING. It also has an 18v battery I think........
cgworkman said:Yes it does have the 18volt system. It's quite nice too - the signal is ultra clean!
Mantaray said:You mean 'no hiss'? Because that is a great problem with my Ray and a 6 string I used to have.
