Yes, that's the MM case that she came in. Based on the emailed descriptions that Ishibashi provided about the general condition of the bass, I was expecting to have to put some work in to make it nice, but in the true Japanese way they were making it sound much worse than it really was.

For example they told me the back of the neck had "much discoloration and scratches". Turns out that the "discoloration" is birdseye in the maple, and there is one scratch only, around 5mm long and 1mm deep, behind the nut.

There are two chips through to the timber on the body approx the size of a Tic Tac, which I may choose to fix with some fingernail polish. There is some buckle rash behind the top horn, and you can see the outline of former stickers on the headstock (the headstock has yellowed nicely but it's white where the stickers were).

Other than those relatively minor issues, this bass is great! I set her up last night and put on a set of flats and she sounds fantastic.

As a bonus, the parcel came straight through to me without Customs nabbing me for the 10% GST. Bonus!
