What's the scoop on BFR guitars?

Hey guys,

I've been on the forum for a bit, and this place has been great!

- I've seen and played Ball Family Reserve guitars - can someone tell me the following (and add to it if you'd like to or can?). I am looking to verify stuff I already know, or think I know, and find out the scoop (plus, I imagine this thread might help other newbies, so, I ask:

1) What are the upgrades? - the top, for sure, right? Anything else?
2) Can any guitar be upgraded to BFR with a custom order (even if it's not listed on the MM website as a BFR?)
3) Can an Axis be ordered with a full rosewood neck?
4) In general - if an EBMM guitar is ordered, can you spec flame or quilt? (I'm not that picky, but curious, while we are here.

Anything else I need to know?

I'll try and answer some of your questions.

1) What are the upgrades? - the top, for sure, right? Anything else? Not sure yet? EBMM always surprises us though with cool stuff.
2) Can any guitar be upgraded to BFR with a custom order (even if it's not listed on the MM website as a BFR?) You can buy guitars that are BFR designated but unless you are an endorsed artist, EBMM does not have a custom shop.
3) Can an Axis be ordered with a full rosewood neck? That was only a limited run a few years back so unless it is brought back as another limited run, no you cannot.

Depending on the guitar you are ordering, in some cases you can. But on some guitars that is not an option.
