What's this supposed to mean?

I just emailed him...What a crock of sh*t...I always tell you guys, take anything you hear on ebay with a grain of salt.

Probably he is trying to boost the price of that Ray by a few hundred bucks... What a loser!

It looks like a sweet bass, though. Its a shame it has such a bad home :) And at that price it will likely stay there!

From a google search I found that "The Excels" was a band from the sixties that recorded a couple of singles. The bass player plays in the local cover band "James and the Groove Kings" and coaches at a Garland, TX high school. (Think Arlen, TX in "King of the Hill".) He probably lives in Richardson which is a city neighboring Garland. That's apparently the "fame" that makes this bass so valuable.

Maybe I should drive over to Richardson and pick up that "hand built" bass that was played by "The Excels" bassist. It should continue to rise in value with that kind of heritage. :D

LOL!!!! :p

"Includes orginal music man case" - my music man case sure looks better than that piece of crap

and I kinda notice some belt rash, I don't call that mint...

Your EB must not be that old, because that is the style case with which they used to come. It is the old style fender case, and it most certainly is not a "piece of crap."

btw, I see that the seller slightly changed the wording and removed the words "mass production."
