Didn't MM make a few basses with the string-thru-body option for Station Music before?

Edit: I checked out Rod Trussbroken's website and found these pics and the following qoute:

A small run of the “Down-Sized” bridges with the string-through body feature. One of 20 Basses made for "Station Music" Germany. Year 2000.

Jon may know for sure but from what I understand, although EB will not make a "one-off" custom Basse for a customer, they will do so if a certain number are ordered. The proviso may be that the customer has to be a distributor.

Is there any kind of advantage of a string thru body?

:D

It really depends on who you ask. I don't think so - but allot of folks will disagree with me.
