It all depends on what you're after. All around for me is the Luke; Pure rock, the EVH/Axis; single coil roots rock, country and blues, the AL. That is just generalizations as each person has their own opinion. Neck shape is also something to think about. I keep on returning to my Luke because it is so comfortable and easy to play. I love candy red on it but there are hardly any colors I don't like that EBMM make. Favs would be candy red, quilt blue or any blue really, amber and the SM Quilted purple sunset. The BFR colors are also amazing especially the black quilts.

My favourite will be:

Mr Horsepower
It has more pickups than the average guitar and the volume goes all the way to 11!

Next would be the Global Warming guitar
You can't be too Earth Friendly than this

But for something available for us mortals, id go with a Black Axis.
You cannot get any blacker than this black

Yeah, Rob, something is deffinitely wrong with You. Not that Petrucci was not great, but ... :)

For me it's simple - 20-th anniversary silo.

Axis - looks clumsy in all the right ways, and still a very elegant comfortable little guitar - which rocks so hard. What's not to like? :)

Steve Morse standard model; with the coil-splitting pot I installed (replaced the tone pot), I can get virtually any tone I want. With the proper right hand technique, I can even get a decent Tele bridge pickup tone...

I could post exactly what I want, but that doesn't help you.

I had been looking at the different EBMM guitars and thought for sure that a purple sunset Y2D was IT. I went and played all the EBMM models, courtesy of Pete, our resident EBMM supplier and found out what I liked and didn't like about every model available. I really do think you have to play what you're considering. Or maybe I'm just really picky. I've learned a few things lately.......that I share with EVH. I rest my palm on the bridge....I dig in (so center pickups are a problem) and if the volume knob is too close, I turn it down unintentionally while playing. Oh....and I'm almost as old as Eddie and had a crush on Valerie while growing up.....but that's another story. :D As it turned out, (for me), the Axis was the guitar that I could find nothing about that wasn't perfect. For you, it will likely be different.
