Just a curious question. Under what lights does the green Dargie II become the gold color?

I noticed my Desert Gold one sometimes looks greenish under certain lights.

Distant cousins?

The one over on Bass Central looks like it was taken with a flash in the one gold pic.

The DD2 appears green in low light, gold in bright light.

At my regular gig, the room lighting is too dim to ever see the gold color. In bright outdoor light, the change is easy to see as the angle of the light changes.

Look at the attached photo from Bass Central. The orange shot shows a green headstock; the camera and flash were down near the pickguard, so the lighting angle wasn't right for the headstock to change to orange.

In the full-size photo of my basses, you can see the DD2 Big Al just changing color in bright light. The basses are on my living-room floor, with two two-story walls of glass letting in natural light.
