They come with them but at GC it is charged under a seperate line item, not a big deal same price, just for accounting purposes.

Although, most guitars are factory shipped in their case, it's not like wheels on a car, or shoe strings on a new pair of shoes, or a watch band on a watch - it's more like a fishing pole and a reel - it's not automatic.

However, it is always assumed that the case is somewhere in the transaction"mix"; so it needs to be addressed.

Although I agree that's how the business sees cases, a guitar without a case is like a car without tires. You can toot the horn but you ain't going anywhere.

GC does mark the case as a separate line item. Sometimes they play the game of negotiating a good price and then saying the case is extra. It depends a lot on the salesguy and although this was common in the past now only inexperienced sales staff seem to try to pull this one. I have sometimes used this ploy to my advantage by bringing one of my own cases and leaving it in the car. Then when they say the case is extra I just say I don't want the case. Then the price of the case magically drops to cost.
