Hi,

The Bodhi blue Luke III model is showing up on the Music man website but its still not available for sale either in GC or Musician's Friend.
Can anybody tell me when this will be available for sale and what will be the pricepoint for a HSS model?

I understand that it is replacing the Olive Gold model,so ideally should be priced around that.
I wrote to the GC guys but they have no clue.

Would appreciate some help here.

Thanks

I wrote to GC asking for the availability and they said they have no idea and its only on special order now. ANyway I will be getting the quote for same soon .Will let you know.
Also I find the new pricing strategy interesting.Earlier the SSH used to be around USD 1500 and the HH model used to be USD 1785. Now they have priced it both same!
At least that's what I see on the GC website.

I don't think that's right. I've mostly seen the HH listed at $1750 and the SSH listed at $1785. I think there may have been one time where there was a mistake on the price of one around $1500 (or it was used). But I haven't seen SSH versions routinely listed for $1500. (Maybe I was missing something?)

I really like the specs this year on the Luke III and will definitely pick one up! I'm keeping an eye out for sure...

There was definitely a difference of about 200 USD between SSH and HH when LIII was first released. I remember that getting maintained on GC website for quite sometime.

You are correct - there was a difference by almost $200 dollars. I bought a L3 HH in Olive Gold. I also bought a L3 SSH in black (didn't keep) and it was quite a bit less....

It typically takes 3-4 months for EB guitars to arrive in stores after they debut at the January NAMM Show, we are getting close to the 3 month mark now!

Pricing on the LIII is the same as it was last year.

I've been waiting a year for one of my guitars. How do you get them in 3 months?

That is correct, they had an error in their pricing. The list price for the HSS is $2550 and the HH is $2500 which translates to about a $35 difference in street pricing.

I'm still waiting on a pdn that I paid in full last april :( Sometimes I wonder if my money is gone. I feel like I should be earning interest. Last time I pay full in advance especially since the dealer requested that.

Still didn't receive it? Insane....what did you order, BTW? And did the dealer inform you of any delay? Can't imagine EB didn't ship it within 11 months...

Well, I ordered an axis. I actually went ahead and bought another one from another dealer. So I'm just going to sell it. I would have changed it to a reflex if you could change the order, but you can't. I had to initiate all the contact with the dealer and ebmm ultimately to find out what the deal was... They weren't even aware of the order. They told me it would be February and I still haven't received the guitar. I had been checking with the dealer since september... I was told oh it would be here in two weeks. This went on from september until late december when I finally called musicman. I'm pretty patient so I really kept my mouth shut about it until now. 5 years of suffering and starving to death from a deadly disease makes you a patient person. Anyways, yep that's my story on the pdn. Maybe someday it will show up and then I can sell it. It doesn't rub you right, but honestly I feel that musicman hasn't done anything wrong just the dealer.

Does anybody have the details on the H/S/S version? looking for info on the pickups in particular. Will they be the black covers or maybe chrome with black? What model of single coils are coming on this model? Is there any info on the active preamp? I noticed on a few videos that you can make your own adjustments to the preamp and would like to get the details on that too.

Thanks!
