I know this has been brought up before but, I need a mute set for an SR4 94' model with thumb screws, can anyone help.

as far as i know theyre pretty hard to find. Gav (rodtrussbroken) might know where some are hiding cuz he tends to knows stuff like this.

otherwise id guess putting a watch term up on ebay or check classifieds in that big bass forum.

I've discovered the perfect solution for this when I was searching myself.

Get the mute foam for a Rick bass and cut it long ways down the middle. then cut each half of it into 4.

You can make mute sets for 2 basses with one of these. They even have sticky tape already attached to the bottom

sometimes black mousepad foam can work (you'll also need double sided tape). I used that on an old 80's SR4 I had a while ago. Just cut it into small squares and you are good to go.

Try Felt

This may not accomplish exactly what you are striving for, but I utilize a small piece of felt at the first fret. It is about half the width of the first fret and it slides up next to the nut. It does a pretty good job of mutting, it stays in place and it's easy to insert and remove. You can get the felt at most hobby and fabric stores.
