Hija all,

New user here and reason why I registered in the first place is that I am having troubles with my guitar :(

I love my MM*Axis a lot, but have since a few years had a problem with the E and A strings going out of tune when I use the Floyd.

I took it apart and saw that there is a sharp nick on the baseplate "knife", where it contacts the stud screws. As all else is properly setup, strings stretched, Floyd is flush with the body front to back and side to side, nut clamps properly on tension etc, I assume this is my issue with a damaged base plate.

So in case I should replace the base plate and the studs of my Floyd, where do I get the right parts? Is it correct that this is a Gotoh Floyd?

Do I have to buy the complete tremolo system or can I get replacements for base plate and stud screws?

Will my brass sustain block fit the new bridge even if I buy a normal Gotoh and not the MusicMan branded item?

I've got a friend who replaced the floyd on his Axis by a Gotoh one , and it works very well!!!! Moreover, they're not quiet expensive and such as good as an OFR!!!!

Well great, after some back and forth with MM support in US who helped me very quickly and gave me parts numbers for a base plate and studs, now the German distributor tells me that they cannot just sell me the damaged parts but I have to buy a complete trem off them and it's 300€ !!

I gotta say I am not pleased, not at all!!
