Hello again! I am having trouble finding places to buy EBMM guitars that sell the guitars in the various color, pickguard, and hardware options. Did you fine people order them through a dealer or did you do it through EBMM or is there some awesome store that has all of the ordering options?

Welcome to DuBaldo Music Center!
ebay
basscentral.com

you can also search craigslist from time to time and see if something pops up...

furthermore there is a WANT TO BUY section on the forum and you can post your request there and maybe someone will sell you theirs...

EBMM makes to order. Some stores do stock musicman guitars but many won't have much in stock. "Some" guitar centers are pretty good at stocking a good number of Musicman Guitars but if you've gotta have a particular model in a particular color with a particular pickguard with/without piezo, with your choice of matching/non-matching headstock and your choice of trem or hard tail, it's going to be somewhat difficult. DuBaldo's stocks more than even the larger Guitar Centers.

I've bought 2 of my Musicman guitars from DuBaldos, one from craigslist and one from the for sale forums here. I do check sites for Wild West Guitars and Bass Central from time to time and am always watching craigslist and a local used chain local to me....Daddy's Junky Music.

Dubaldo's

Pete's great, but for some reason he won't honor coupons from Bed, Bath, and Beyond or Linens and Things. :D

My four EBMM basses came from

- Bass Central (ordered an in-process bass... don't think they have a guitar side)
- DuBaldo Music (ordered from a standing start)
- The Perfect Bass (aka The Perfect Guitar... purchased an in-stock bass)
- EBMM dealer Imperial Soundworks in Middletown, NY (used instrument)

I'm okay with buying on eBay, but the correct alignment of GAS and instrument hasn't happened for me there as yet.

I'd recommend Pete and Nick Dubaldo.

But I've bought from Make'n Music and they were really good to deal with as well.

You can always try your local GC and work a 12 months no financing, if they are offering it.

I almost always go to Pete at Dubaldo's, but the other day I had GAS for a specific guitar and didn't want to wait for one to be made so I went looking and found what I was looking for in stock at Bass Central.

Check both places, you'll probably find something that wows you and you won't find any better customer service.

Dubaldo's sounds like the way to go then! :D I will check my local GC because I my uncle works there and could get me a deal but I would rather support a smaller shop.

Well lots of good place to buy and order, ask anyone on the fourm I do know:D

If you have something very specific in mind then you may have to order it through a dealer since it may be different than what they have in stock, else just look at dealers in stock items, you can also contact EBMM customer service and if they are not swamped they can do a dealer search for what you are looking for.

With that said I can recommend several, DuBaldos as mentioned, I have done alot of busines with Pete and Nick, Bass Central, Beaver is great and lots of inventory, The Perfect Guitar has been good to deal with, Mojos Music was good as well and nowdays I do alot with my local Guitar Center, Robbie the salesman I deal with takes great care of me.

Bottom line lots of great places to get a good EBMM:)

My Balls have come from 2 places. Drum City Guitarland, and Dubaldo Music. If you want the guitar built the way you want it, Pete D can hook it up :D

Sorry to write this, but... mostly E-Bay, and all of the guitars bought used. Three EBMMs of twenty or so I've had so far have not come from E-Bay.

Interestingly, those are the three I still have - the Morse was bought in a small local guitar shop called "Music City", which does not exist anymore. The BFR Walnut JP7 came from Drumcity Guitarland, and the DDII BFR JP7 has belonged to a fellow forumite (hi, Phil!)
