The Kyser Dr. Stringfellow Lem-Oil works nice. It should be easy to find online. Also, Endust (red can) is fine too and can be found at local retailers. Go light with it!

TOmmy--- when I read the OLD ENGLISH that's what I thought of too. When I was younger I worked at my Grampa's furniture store and I used the OE to shine up the floor furniture. IT was brown and messy! NOT A GOOD IDEA FOR GUITARS... now the lemon oil on the other hand... sounds great!

"D'andrea lemon oil" the little bottle don't speak too much ...so i'm not sure that can be suitalbe....

I wish to clean fretboards and maybe the rear of the neck ....

Otherwise i can buy Dunlop 65 ultimate lemon on Ebay ...

Old English also makes a Dark or Light Wood Scratch cover oil which has a deep dark tone, I've used that on some teak furniture we have at home in the past. I just picked up a bottle of Old English Lemon oil today, was using the Dunlop fretboard conditioner previously. Haven't tried it yet but it smells good :D

Lemon oil is lemon oil. You can buy it in a small bottle from a music store with a guitar trendy name, Like "fretboard saviour" or such or you can go to your local home depot wal mart costco and buy a large bottle for about the same price. W are just coming out with a cleaning and care system. We will offer it as a convenience and a well thought out plan of maintenance of your guitars.

That sounds like a great idea, the cleaning/care system. I know, I for one would happily buy something like that for my Axis, coming directly from the same company. Especially considering all the sketchy info out there on taking care of necks like the ones on Musicman guitars. Assuming, of course, that this system will be for neck care.

That'll be nice to see - I always wondered why guitar cleaning kits I see in the music shops don't include a bottle of lemon oil for the fretboard... I haven't seen the D'Andrea kit about here, but the Fender and Gibson and Martin kits they sell everywhere only ever include a cloth and some water-based spritzer-bottled "Guitar cleaner" with instructions like "Spray on cloth and wipe in circular motion. Repeat as necessary." :p

What sketchy information? Where is it sketchy? Read the FAQ? It's pretty simple...

Bring it on.. I'm already using your guitar polish for my JP6 thanks to tommyindelaware.

When you say you're 'just coming out with' the product... how soon will we be able to walk into a store and purchase it?

Will it have a guitar trendy name and will we be able to buy it in small bottles from a music store? ;)

Just search this forum for lots of conflicting advice, opinions. That doesn't even include, the information out there online about neck care. The sheer number of questions about lemon oil/gunstock oil on the fretboard, whether to sand or not, how much to use, etc... should give you an idea the FAQ needs more detail.

Tommy is right.... This bottle is a no-no! (The lemon oil is fine, however)
