I've asked a few shops in the UK and they have none in stock. :(

The EBMM site doesn't ship to UK. :(

I feel left out!

Any ideas?

pssssssssst, hey buddy... ping Pete DuBaldo. Last I heard, he might have a couple left. Not sure if he ships out of the US, but it can't hurt to ask.

I picked up one from him a few months ago.

I'd try the UK EBMM distributor - Strings and Things index.jpg

It may be one of those things that they don't import but it's worth asking.

I emailed S&T and they said none in stock.

I'll send Pete a mail to see if he can ship to UK.

Thanks for the suggestions guys!

Or you can just PM Blind Lemon Lunney on the forum here and get him to throw one in with their December shipment. Product #6190, we still have some in stock.

Thanks Spud, I'll use that as a backup plan if I can't get one through Blind Lemon. I may enjoy building my own!

Thanks Beth, for your helpful reference. I've sent a PM to Blind Lemon as you suggested... Hopefully he can save the day!

By the way, if loads of people on here are buying Piezo equipped guitars, how come EBMM don't start up the Splitter box manufacture machine again?

Many thanks for suggestions, info etc - it's appreciated!

the reason you can't get the EBMM splitters in the UK i sbecause the solder they use in them doesn't comply with european guidelines, so it doesn't get the CE sticker of approval.
from what i've been reliably informed anyway.

i'm not sure if it is in relation to the lead content or not.

pete cornish will make one for you. he did some for pete townsend. HUGE price though. something like £279!!!!

try lehle. they make amazing boxes that will split up signals.

Yeah, the Pete Cornish one is about that price, but it's not a straightforward splitter, as it does have isolated outputs etc.

I've made my own, it's really not that difficult to do.

I have plenty of the #6190 splitter boxes in stock. They are not ROHS compliant because of the lead-based solder. I'm sorry but I don't ship outside of the USA.

Pete,
Thanks for the clarification... I was just trying to be helpful, I wasn't aware of all of those regulations.

Hi Pete - thanks for that.

Looks like I'm having some soldering fun over the Christmas break then!

Cheers all.

Hmmmmm

I have recently come across some RoHS compliancy issues with amps I import from the US.

The EBMM guitars we get in the UK that have circuit boards (silent circuits and piezos) are they compliant?

Dave

P.S. I hope so - the rules are a little Draconian!

it is odd then that they would use different solder in their splitter's than in their guitar wiring!!

bonkers. :?
