I'm looking for a proper forum to ask the following. TIA
I'm sure there have been thousands on this, so please be patient with me.
I basically use an Alesis SR-16 midi'd through an Alesis DM-5 to lay drum tracks.
Nothing like a real drummer, but I don't have one, and am not at heart a syncopated talent.
But nothing I've heard has as realistic a recorded sound as those in my experience, which is limited.
So I'm asking for advice on any sequencers/sound banks that you all recommed (you real drummers and studio people's) and think are the MOST realistic snares, high-tops, kicks, toms.
I do mostly Rock, Pop and occasional Folk. But can do Soul, Jazz, and am looking for Versatility.
Thank you immeasurably,
