I'm in and out and I'm trying to check in on my favorite place on the web. I've got a lot going on right now, my Mom, my Daughter just had her tonsils out at age 17 and a new Bongo.

Bad time for a new bass, as for living with it day and night like I want to, but I got to have a few visits with it today, a killer bass!

I may not be home when the red one arrives, that's the day my Mom has the surgery. I may start a thread about all this...

Chuck,

As a dad who has dealt extensively with heath issues with a loved one I have the following advice:

1. Don't see ghosts. What this means is that when put in this health crisis mode the natural reaction is to fear and focus on the worst outcome. Deal with the problems on a step by step basis. The majority of the time the results are must better than our worst fears. Also I really think that positive energy and faith is the hidden secret weapon behind competent health care.

2. Be your mothers advocate. Don't be afraid of winning a popularity contest with the staff....if she was due meds twenty minutes ago, raise a ruckus.

Hopefully these are just two of the things that I learned that might help you.

Especially true here...remember the BS that the local hospitals put Travis' dad through.

Chuck, I have infact said this before, though it seems to still be the best thing I can offer.

I'll play something sweet, so that the Fates smile upon you.

My hopes and prayers good sir.

PS Big Poppa's Advice is some of the most sound I've heard in a while, which is all the more impressive considering he must deal with all sorts of stresses, being the leader of a damn fine company. A big +1 to that.
