Just got my first set of flat wound strings for my EBMM basses. Now I need to decide which bass to put them on.

Sterling HS
Bongo HH
SR 4 30th.

Which one would you try flats on first?

I would have said 30th SR, but now I agree with ALL OF THEM! :)

I'm may try some flats on my Sterling tomorrow when I get it seen to - are the D'Addarios any good? There are no EB flats in stock, so if I go for flats it will have to be the D's....

You know, I tried them on the Bongo last night and wasn't that thrilled. I will put them on the SR4 this afternoon. Won't put them on the Sterling until after tonight's gig (don't want too big a change in my current primary bass). I did put some S@dowsky Stainless Steels on the Bongo and got some good tones out of it. But for tonight I think the Bongo is going back to its original Slinkys.

Basses on stage tonight: Bongo 4HH, Sterling HS, SR5HS!!!!!

Of course there is the chance that the SR4 will get a ride to the gig if I like the flats on it!!

Oooooooooo.........

We have a winner. Flats on the 30th SR4!!! Excellent.

Oh - and I put the Super Slinkys back on the Bongo - much better. Didn't try the flats on the Sterling after hearing them on the SR4. Maybe I will have to buy another set to try on the Sterling - cuz they are not coming off the SR4.

All is good now - thank you for your input.
