Hey everybody,

I've purchased an used, old-ish Ernie Ball Volume Pedal.
It doesn't have any model number on it and the pre-owner didn't know it as well.
It is most likely full size and has an open front with only two jacks on the side.

One thing is driving me crazy:
I triple-checked all instructions and youtube videos on setting the pedal up but I just cannot figure how to adjust it properly.

When kicked into zero-position, it always goes back a little bit.
What basically happens is, whenever I push towards zero, the spring will be stretched more and more with the tension finally leading to the described behavior...

I have already disassembled the pedal a couple of times now - always staying close to the instruction while reassembling but it keeps the same.

As a consequence I now do assume that the strings and/or spring simply do not fit the VP.
Could you guys either tell me, which kit I might need or how long the strings and (relaxed) spring in the kit '6157' are? At least I'd be able to compare to my current setup and judge if this might be the cause for my problems.

Thanks in advance for any hints...
Cheers
