Hey folks---just wanted to see what other folks were using for a DI for the piezo if you werent going into a dedicated acoustic amp but were using say a powered wedge or going straight into the PA. The JP6 is my first piezo equpped electric and I'm pretty blown away by it---lots of possibilities!!!

Most of the time with mine, if I'm not using the amp for the piezo, then I'll go straight into the mixing board.

Sometimes you'll need to DI using a ground lift if you get some hum when using two different amps (or amp and PA)

AVOID acoustic amps. nowhere NEAR the headroom you'll need to keep up w/your favorite amp. EV/JBL/MACKIE/YORKVILLE powered wedges will do you great if your short of a PA.

Doesn't that depend on how loud you're playing?

I say depends on the amp. I have a great Genz Benz Shenandoah acoustic. But, it pushes to keep up with my Lonestar at low to med. levels. My EV wedge dominates over it; by a long shot.

I've got a Trace Elliot Acoustic Cube and a Power Cube satellite speaker - great setup for practicing / playing at home on. Shame they're so rare.

Would love to let rip through a full P.A. sometime just to hear (feel?) the difference.
