Hey chaps/ladies
Im still currently reseaching which EB Bass would be right for me in the 5 string format.
I have 2 EB MM Rays in 4 string format, and they are both an excellent weight. Comfy fast neck, slick tone! Awesome.
I want to get the right 5 String for me. I'm not sure what you guys think.
I think the Bongo might be out, purely because Im a traditional bodyshape type of player...thats no offence to the Bongo, I just think it might not be for me.
So, Im guessing its the Sterling 5 or Stingray 5.
Which do you think would be best? I love the extended plate on the Ray 5, and I tried one a few months back and love the feel of it.
Never tried a Sterling, and there are not many around in the UK to test in 5 string format.
I THINK im sticking to single H.
The weight is a concern for me. I want to have a nice low-med weight instrument otherwise my back will ache!
Any ideas? Are the EB 5 strings pretty consistent weight-wise?
Cheers
