And Robert, wouldyou say that you prefer the Bongo to the 30th?

Short answer, yes, for all the reasons I mentioned above - primarily tone. Yes, the 30th has GREAT tone, but the Bongo is just a different (yes, related, but different) animal.

You can't go wrong with any one of those on your list. I would tend to lean toward the Sterling H/S, but for no other reason other than I'm slightly more of a Sterling fan due to the neck.

Ditto......+1 for the Sterling.

it has great tonal variation with the 3 Eq, & i also prefer the slimmer, faster neck. :cool:

I love my Sterling, but the preamp on the Bongo gets just killer lows - the sort of thing you'd want for a reggae sort of sound.
