i'm looking at getting a hardtail Albert at some time in the future. The Luke + Axis are fantastic and i want something that will gimme some more vintage tones.

I can't decide between the MM90's and the singles at the mo (I've played the singles and love them but you never know) and want to ask about the overdriven tone. I've been listening to a lot of Richie Kotzens telecaster tone recently and really like it. If one of the two pickup options in the Albert will get me closer to that sound that will be the one I will likely go with. My instincts say it will be the MM90s.

Does anybody know the answer?

Many thanks guys.

Interesting question....

My answer will be very unsatisfactory. I think it depends more on the amp than on the SSS v. MM90 set up. Either set is very versatile (IMO), but by design, the MM90s have more output. Maybe the way to go is the Cornford RK100 + any AL? :D
