Since I still only played Silhouette neck profile's and wondering if there is something more perfect than this, I am wondering if there is a EBMM guitar with a wider neck profile? I know the Axis and AL are thicker, but is this only in neck feel, or also string spacing? :)

There is a neck profile thread, I know, but I can't find it. :( (probably searching all wrong  ).

Also, I would like to know from Silhouette/Special players what they prefer. Their Silo neck, or.... ?

The Petrucci has the widest neck/string spacing at 1-11/16" (43mm) at the nut. It is also the thinnest thumb to finger.

The balance of the MMs are 1-5/8" (41.3mm) at the nut.

yep... the JP. But, it's still a smaller neck than most other companies and it still doesn't have as flat a radius as say an 80s Jackson. LOL

I love all the MM necks, but I like the JP the best because I don't like anything bigger than that, but my hands are a weird size where I like it just a bit bigger than say a Luke neck (which is thicker but less string spacing). It seems that people who like the narrower MM necks seldom have problems feeling like the JP neck is uncomfortably wider.

Haha, thats a bummer then. The "problem" i'm beginning to experience is that the Silhouette is becoming to small for me (hmm, I must be growing! :D ). I want to feel the guitar more (both body and neck). Now with my new Silo it's a little better because of the weight (tremelo!).

The Petrucci neck is too thin I'm afraid to get more "feel". Also, the body is the exact same size as the silo right? (non BFR).

What is the best option for a more chunky EBMM? (without going BFR or 25th, I'm a student ;) ).

This is incredible. I had no idea the JP6 had the widest neck. It feels so thin that an Axis seemed wider.

What string gauge are you currently using ???

Your hands are not growing, but if you play every day, you gain strength in the fingers. If you use heavier strings, your neck will be more "present" in your hand.
My Morse and my Axis are strung with 10's gauge but my SUB still has 9's gauge (because my daughter starts to play with it thus with her little fingers 9's gauger is easier). When I play with my SUB, the neck feel skinny but in fact it is as wide as the Morse neck.
You can also increase a little bit the strings height.

Or you can buy a classical guitar ... you will have really a wide neck !

IMO, the Albert Lee neck is a bit 'chunkier' than the Silhouette.

By the way, I am 6'4" and I think the Silo is the perfect size!

The JP will feel wider than the Sillouette...

The JP Body is not the same size as the Silo... it's bigger.. a LOT bigger.

You should find a MM dealer and play a JP. How it feels in my hands is not how it will feel in your hands.
