I ready to pull the trigger on a custom guitar ( I won't mention any names or company). The neck was designed after the artist' favorite EBMM neck:
-width 41.5mm at nut, 56mm at 24th fret
-thickness 20.5mm at nut, 22mm at 12th fret
-12" radius

My guess is this would be really close to an EBMM ASS neck?
Thanks for your help, since I can't try out this guitar, it's an EBay deal, so I'm trying to find out the specifics of the neck.

Might be a chancey purchase if you've never played one.

Ya ... no idea what that would be close to. There are two 24 fretters in the EBMM lineup, and they're quite a bit different.

Hard to say what something is going to feel like from measurements alone.

Thanks guys, The neck width is closer to an ASS neck, that's why I'm suggesting that, but if it has a Morse and Luke radius, hmmm... interesting how that'll feel.

I would not buy that ax without checking out the neck first. Will be a big mistake and I am saying this from experience.

I played Fenders for 20 years before getting my first EBMM EVH and found the best neck I ever played along with a company I believe is making the best new crop of axes out there. Later on I got an Axis and I felt the extra hair width of the neck made it supreme. Then I kept reading all these great reviews of the Petrucci with the Piezo , and being a big Tele fan as it was my first guitar I loved that Petrucci also liked his knobs away from the bridge. I came across a store selling a NOS one at a price I could not resist on ebay and waited for what I thought was going to be my new #1 ax for life. Well it came and when I opened the case instead of 47 I turned back into a 10 year old kid at Christmas until I picked it up and wrapped my hand around the neck and then I got a sick feeling. After 30 plus years I made the cardinal sin of buying a guitar without checking it out first.

I never dreamed Petrucci played with one of those thin necks like on an Ibanez Wizard. Everything about the guitar was perfect except the neck which Icould never bond with as I need some wood in my hand. I still have the guitar because I think one day I might get used to it but I know it is not going to happen. So check that neck out before you buy.

words of wisdom for sure. Only reason I would even consider this is the dealer offer a 3-day money back.
The neck is everything, all the other factors are secondary.
Actually, been doing some research between this guitar neck and the ASS, the measurements are pretty similar, besides the fact that this neck is 12" radius and the ASS is 10".
