In this Jamiroquai-video, does he have a Vintage White Perloid or just the regular White Perloid on his Silo Special?

I love white guitars, but I don't really like when the pick guard is whiter than the guitar and makes it look yellowish. This is unfortunately the case with most white Silo Specials I've seen with white pick guards.

The reason why I'm posting this is because it seems in in the video like the pickguard is a bit "less white" than the guitar, which is good. Although, isn't Vintage White Perloid a new color? Or has there been similar colors before? Or is it just that he probably has the regular White Perloid and that it looks good in that particular lighting?

Your right the Vintage is a bit more yellow and I'm pretty sure your right it is a newer offering.

The guitar is an early standard non-trem white silo special with a white perloid pickguard, that's what Rob Harris had said in some interview, if memory serves right.

And oh, they are really a ****ing great funk band live.

You misunderstood me. My point is that the GUITAR looks yellow with a pickguard that's whiter than the guitar itself.

Yes, it does. That's why I'm confused. With almost every white/white Silo pic posted on the forum it looks like the pick guard is white and the guitar is yellowish because of the contrast.

Well I know that mine has a yellow'ish look to it, but I think it faded over time. Plus i think with the sparkle in the body it does that as well. The Silo Special from the video is just plain old white.
