And just recently, I thought how cool it would be to "whiteout" my white 'Ray 4 HH... (but in the end, it's just eye candy, isn't it ;) )

Bump of old thread:

> Just a special order option with an upcharge is all I'm asking for here!

As Jim said that'd be great.

But what's the current stand on SR5 H pickup covers? Any good experiences recently?

Nordstrand makes some very nice aftermarket Music Man pickups. Contact them because I think you can get some ordered in white.

I've queried MM and got the following info for STINGRAY 5's, since the switch from ceramic to alnico in 2008:

Bridge H is available black/silver, black/gold, black/black, white/silver, and white/gold.

Neck H is available black/silver, black/gold, black/black, and white/gold.

Neck S is available black/silver, black/black.

(Also MM confirms Neck H has shorter pole pieces and is NOT the same part number as the Bridge H.)

So, there are NO white HS's. There are NO white HH's except the India Ivory (if I'm right that this is the only white/gold color scheme).

I actually thought of that, Ox, but my impression is that 3D prints look like utter crap, far worse than "made in Taiwan" free toys in cereal boxes did in 1970. If we didn't care about how good or bad the results looked we could just paint a black one.

The best idea I've had so far is getting a shop that applies wraps to cars to try wrapping a black cover. If they could negotiate all the fine details of the shape--and they do a good job of that on actual cars--the result would look good and be strong enough to stand up to a pick.
