So im curious, for those of you with 2 or more ebmm's, how would you say you divide the playing time amongst them?

I only have one for the next 2 months or so. Once i get my new one, im curious to see which one will get played most, im hoping my new one ;) cause that would make sense.

For me, especially at gigs, it depends on the majority of the set list for the tone I need, though I usually bring two basses just in case I feel like changing out (haven't had a need to...KOW; pun).

I usually choose the bass that matches my shirt, unless of course I'm not wearing a shirt or pants, then I use my natural SR5. But since I don't get out in the sun very much I may switch to one of the ButterCreams...

First choice is always the Sapphire Black Bongo 5, which has proved itself worthy of any challenge.

First choice four string is the Flaming Biff.

After that, it's just what's handy or what I feel like playing for whatever reason.

I play my Black Bongo 4HH for practice since that one is always loaded in a gig bag. I play my Lava Whatever Bongo 4HH at home when working on band stuff. Both of these are tuned down a half step.

I play my Buttercream StingRay 4HS when I need to play anything in standard tuning. This usually is just jamming with tunes at home.

So, in order of actual playing time, it goes like this -

1. Black Bongo 4HH
2. Lava Whatever Bongo 4 HH
3. Buttercream StingRay 4HS

The StingRay has some of the best sounds in the bunch, so it'll be my "recording bass." If there ever could be such a thing for a hack like myself.

Its doesnt matter how many basses I may have at any given time, my autumn redburst StingRay gets 90% of live and studio time. Like Ben said, I could do with only that bass if I had to.
