Who stocks the cool finish? Special order timeframe?

I'm looking for a Silhouette special/Luke in someting other than red or blue, I don't see cool finshes for sale anywhere, where should I be looking? Also, how long do the special orders take, I'm in a hurry to snag something

Well, finding a cool finish is a crapshoot. Especially since we all have different tastes. Actually, finding a Luke is something of a treasure hunt in itself! Try the dealer locator on the eb site.

Norm (silo), Koogie (JP) and myself (LUKE) seem to like the blue dawn sparkle. It's been discontinued but occasionally shows up on ebay.

Most Lukes are in light gray. Or what they call Luke Blue (perhaps because he is color blind. Who knows?)

If you special order one the wait can be as little as 2 months from posts I've read on this board. I've ordered 2 Lukes. one took 3 months. The other 5 months.

It's really the way to go if you can wait and they still offer a color you like. And it is most definitely worth the wait.

As a delaer I can tell you if you were to order one , you're looking at about 3 months to get one. If you can wait, then KBAIM is right, by saying that is the way to go. thanks guys, I think I'm gonna order one, I'm not seeing what I want on ebay or around in general. Am I right in assuming natural or sunburst is not very popular on the non-axis EB's , I'm seeing lots of blue , red, even saw a purple, but I go for more natural wooden colors , or a nice burst or something, I'm no spring chicken , so I look rather pathetic w. some crazy sparkle job

I don't believe the Luke is available in Natural. As someone who owns a sunburst one though, big thumbs up.

No spring chicken here either but I got me a blue dawn, and if you're more than a foot away from it the sparkles don't show. Just a beautiful blueburst that is like no other. (Except fo Norm's, Koogie's, etc).

Thanks BBD. Plays and sounds even better.

This one has a Piezo. If you play any fingerpicking or clean and want some acoustic snap...order with the piezo. Though it does add a couple hundred or so to the price.

Sunburst is a bit extra too ($100 or so).

I didn't get the matching headstock on this one.

Also, Luke only available with rosewood fretboard.
