Whoa! What about Cobalt half-wounds! What!!!

I've been listening to review and samples (what little there are) of the EBMM cobalt bass strings and I got this gut feeling that cobalts would make a killer set of half-wound bass strings. With the extra responsiveness that they have, I don't see how they would not make up for whatever loss of brightness is inherent to half-wounds.

Just a wild thought. I have been hoping for some EBMM half-wounds and this just hit me as a possibility.

What do you all think?

I'd buy a set, based on my love of the Cobalt rounds and flats generally.

Well, Craig has not posted recently about getting a mystery package from BP so I guess we have to be sastisfied with deaming about how great they would theoreticaly sound
