I see seperate posts for stuff like this. Thought it would be fun to get everyone to chime in at once. Get a feeling for what people are using their EBMM's for in one place. So, if you please, those working on a cover, would you post the song title and artist and those working on original stuff, would you post a link.

To start it off:

"A Whiter Shade of Pale" by Procol Harum.

I just joined a local christian rock band called Common Clay. http://www.commonclay.com (nope, I'm not in the picture or on the site yet). My intent is to use nothing but EBMM with this band, my new-to-me Bongo 5 HS and my SR5 HH due in July. I've been mostly using my Fender USA Deluxe V up until this week. No recordings with me and the Bongo yet, but soon. I did record rehearsal last night, and if I can find a clean track I'll post it somewhere. I know you're not intersted in hear all my mistakes on newish material :) If I can't find one, then I'll try to get something at our next rehearsal in a couple of weeks.

Generally we play out two weekends a month, but it's been substantially more in the 4-5 weeks I've been with the band. We do everything from coffee houses, to fairs, to church p&w.

80% of our stuff we do live are originals. We'll be adding more covers soon, though. For this Thursday and Friday, I know we'll be doing Grace Like Rain (Todd Agnew), Consuming Fire (Third Day), More Love More Power (our own version), and All the Earth Will Sing Your Praises (Paul Baloche) along with a dozen or so originals.

I'm working on learning "Paradise City" by G-n-R for a gig next weekend. I have to see if I still have that CD out in a crate in the garage.

Currently polishing our latest acquisitions:

"Keep the Customer Satisfied" by Simon & Garfunkel (great harmonies in that one)
"Walk of Life" by Dire Straits
"Daniel" by Elton John (great flute in that one)
And my current favorite one to play, the Jason & the Scorchers version of "19th Nervous Breakdown," which is different from the way the Stones did it. Kicks butt.

And continuing to hone the rest of the set list.

i play mainly in prisons and churches, either guitar, bass or drums, depending on what's needed: if a decent drummer and good music leader/guitarist shows up, I'll play bass. Same in church. Only bass I'm playing now is the Bongo 4 HH.

Trying to get the vocals and bass parts down on Oasis' "Stay Young", the Beatles' "I've Got a Feeling", and the B-52's version of the theme song for Rocko's Modern Life.
Playing the Ramones' "Blitzkrieg Bop" for fun.

My brother was asked to fill in for a guitarist in a Christian band a while back. They had about 6 gigs to go on the tour they were finishing. So, he said he would do it. Now he has been with them for 5 years! And played hundreds of shows! But he plays an acoustic guitar, and it's an Ovation. So, it's completely irrelevant to this forum! :D

Currently working on Bon Jovi's "Shot Through the Heart". Not sure what is next. Will be a cover of something or the other.

Bunch of tunes from Joni Mitchell's "Hissing of Summer Lawns".

1. In France They Kiss On Main Street
2. Edith and the Kingpin
3. Don't Interrupt the Sorrow

Some great playing by Max Bennett on that record. He's schoolin' my ass, for sure.

We don't actually have any new songs we're working on right now. We just added "Semi-Charmed Kind of Life", "Rebel Yell" and one more (that I can't think of right now) last month. We have a lot of gigs coming up and would like to just do jsutice to the ones we already know. We have about 80 on our song list right now.

I'm not a bass player(no sloping forehead etc:p ) but I am trying to learn ANYTHING that Tony Macalpine plays, and it's been more of a workout than I get at the gym. Bunny Brunel is one mofo on the bass as well!

After a couple of months in hiatus due to various band members being out of the country, "Hallo Mister" have a gig this Friday night and another next Wednesday. For our gig this week we've added several new tunes - "Vertigo" (U2), "Hot Blooded" (Foreigner), and "Can't Get Enough" (Bad Company).

I'm not a very big U2 fan but I really like to play "Vertigo".

I've been trying to learn every Iron Maiden song since I started playing bass. I know it's not the most technically challenging thing in the world but it sure is fun.
