Now I know I should just get them through Pete D but I tried local shops around me just for ****s and grins and man strikeout central including the local GC who told me they used to carry them but discontinued them for some reason. Every local store I talked to carried the usual Schaller and Dunlop strap locks and not that they aren't good products, but I wanted a set of Super Locks to throw on my son's new guitar (sorry guys, it wasn't an EBMM). The owner of one store actually asked me what the story with them was after I told him what he had to offer wasn't what I wanted. I told him that having had all the brands he carried at some point, I said the Super Locks had a really secure feel, installed easily on the strap and they just feel solid. Kinda strange, some of these stores carry EBMM strings, I would've thought the super locks would've just been a given.

Oh well, gotta drop Pete a line!

The superlocks is an awesome product! I have em on my silo special. I don't seem to have an issue finding them since the Sam ash and all 3 GCs I've been to have them in stock. It's a really solid and cool design. At first I was paranoid that if the mechanism fails it will just slip out of the strap button. However I don't question them anymore as I know the insanely high standards of everything EBMM :). I must confess though that I do have the schaller ones on my Y2D.

Oh they are definetely the best, have had a set since 11/08. My nearby GC is pretty limited, their EBMM guitar stock is pretty dismal compared to other GCs. Thank goodness Pete is only about an hour away from me.

The GC in Rhode Island is pretty bad too , when I bought my Luke they said "we don't even know why we have that or where it came from and it was brand new with the tags I guess someone must have bought it from somewhere else and then returned it there but who knows.
I really do wish the was store close to me with more EBMMs one day I will get to Petes but its a 3 hour drive.

Make the trip. He's only an hour and a half from my house (hopkinton, ma). You gotta be less than 3 hours in RI....

I have yet to see superlocks in person. In fact I have yet to see EB coated strings in Paris either but it's been a couple of months since I last visited many of the stores (other than my own) so that may have changed. I also have yet to see wonder wipes, which I asked the HTD/EBMM rep about back in April or May but he'd never heard of them.

Now that I'm out of that job and have some time free I'll do a recon mission when I get back to France after the holidays.

And don't forget - all EBMM products are available through the EBMM online stores, which ship to the US and Canada, UK and Ireland, and France.

So Josh, how are the new Super Locks? Or are you too busy installing your new pickups first? I heard that Nick strong-armed you into extra spending over at our Beller's location this morning... hahaha

(You should have bought the roasted Gold Roller, too!)

Pickups are in and wow, what an immediate difference in the neck position! The LiquiFire is no joke!! Need to sit down and really play for awhile to get a good feel for the whole setup.
