Question Why don't the pots on my '06 SR5 not feel as good as my SR4?

Just got a new 06 SR5 HH from a guy that did buy it new from a music store couple of months ago. I noticed that the pots don't have that high-dollar tight, smooth feel like my SR. They work fine, but just feel...well I'll say it--noticeably cheaper. I know there is difference in the preamp, but are all the electronics different as well?

Thanks!

feeling is a matter of personal preference.. myself, i prefer the sr5 feel of the pots. to me the pots on the sr4 feel too tight and the centre detent seems deep like a ditch around an medieval castle.. but thats just me :)
not that i complain.. the sr4 will slay any "dragons" trying to steal its place in the mix ;)

I like the smoooooth yet precise pots on the bongo...very nice.

I had a much older stingray, and it appeared as if the detents and the pots generally had worn in and it felt nicer to me.
