You may recall I split early from SLO to catch a red-eye back in time to make a Sunday gig. Annual church picnic for about 400~450 folks in the community.

Overall it went very well. Weather was absolutely georgeous. The strain of the weekend activities and two trans-coastal flights within 36 hours made for quite a stressful set-up and sound check  (though the guys were real good about just letting me rant). Once we were all set the stress melted away and we had two really good, solid sets.

Here are a few shots from the event...

My rig - note milkcrate that is soon to be replaced by an XL115 cabinet

I run the drum-machine, a.k.a. "Phil". Wireless unit belongs to a guitarist.

Cranking out some Good Lovin'!

The guy in the shades IS NOT in the band! It got ugly when he reached for my stings while playing a song!

Mustang Sally - where it's all about the thumb!

And here we are with Father Bill. I did say it was a charitable event - for the Church...

Sweet another sterling/hartke man... what a combination - hey!!

Truth be told, I'd really love an SVT, but can't justify the investment. :p

But I've always been a Hartke fan at heart. I love that punch and, to be honest, those aluminum cones just look so damn cool!

When I picked-up this rig I went to flatwounds to get the right "thump". Guys in my band are blown away - love the tone.

I think Hartke is a lot of amp for the money. Planning on adding an XL115 soon and expect to use this set-up forever! :D

They are a very tough looking - I vaguely remember being told the cones were titanium.... I may have been imagining it though (or just too hung over :O)...

You get even more bongo thump when you add one of these! ;)

(though all that's in a four space rack now is a tuner, ha7000 and a power conditioner)

So, I guess since it was a church gig, you couldn't just take him out back and beat the crap out of him, huh?

Maybe you could have smited him, at least? :D Smote? Smited? Smote? Ah, hell...

Unfortunately not...

We entertained his "participation" for a song or two, as he continued to get more and more comfortable with the band. When he decided to help me out by strumming my strings I stepped toward him (somewhat agressively) and let him know he crossed the line.

He was no longer a bother after that... ;)
