why is it hard to find a LUKE?

Hey folks.....I'm a new rookie here....great forum lots of thoughtful posts...

I will be getting a new guitar in the next few months; I like the LUKE but I'm noticing its hard to find in stores.....I know EBMM's are made with qualtiy and also backlog is 3-6 months. BUT in looking at many stores listings, I see more basses than guitars and more of other models rather than the luke......Any ideas? I want to buy a new one not ebay....

Basses are what EBMM is known for, the guitars are coming around.

There are a few people here in your area maybe one of them has a Luke that you could try out.

Sometimes you need to look outside of your area. When I bought my Axes they both came from NY as did my JP. My AL came from Arizona. There are a bunch of dealers that have Lukes, but you might have to buy it via the internet or order one.

I believe MakeNMusic.com has a beauty in stock right now. I got mine from them. Also, PMBlues.com has at least one.

3 suggestions.

A dealer search by zipcode on EB website. Call store if they list a luke in stock.

The folks at EB may be willing to track one down for you in a store somewhere.

Another forum regular PETE DUBALDO is a dealer and may have one or 2 in stock.

I just purchased the Buttercream Luke from PM Blues a few weeks ago. It was their last Luke in stock until Fall. If you are looking for the base model in either Black or Luke Blue, I remember seeing them in stock at Musician's Friend just last month. You may try the other big warehouse e-stores too, but if you want different colors and piezo, search the web for the specialty shops.
