I just don't get it. Even if the EVH/EBMM partnership went sour, having Edward Van Halen as a part of EBMM history was a very positive thing. It seems like people forget who this guy is and what he means to the history of the electric guitar.:(

Last time I was at the Smithsonian, there were two guitars there: Lucille and 'Frankenstein'.
(replicas, but still......)

We'll never get a chance to forget him if these threads keep popping up!
;)

You diehard EVH guys are missing BP's point-- all that is in the past, and he would prefer to discuss current and future MusicMan things here. That's all. It's his server, right?

So, knowing that these EVH threads are somewhat annoying to him, can you blame him if he wants to make a little joke?

Everyone take a deep breath and remember we're here to have a little fun while discussing MusicMan guitars. I don't think any of us would intentionally provoke or hurt our fellow forumites. So if you see the occasional thing that irks you, you can just be irked for a few minutes and then move on without responding to the thread that bothered you.

Many times I've typed a retort and didn't click the 'post' button. I keep in the back of my mind the fact that I can just turn off my computer and all of you go away! ;)

Hey, I don't care who the guy in question is, if the performance sucked I call it that way. Just because he's Ed doesn't mean you polish a turd and call it awesome. If Luke or JP or anyone else sounded as terrible as that I would have said that their performance was also pathetic. Don't let past accomplishments cloud your judgement on current happenings.

Listen, guys, I'm not the guitar side moderator, but I do have certain powers over here. I don't like to get involved in things that are not my business, but....let's please let Eddie be just what he is around here.

History.

Good times, some great guitars, and, again, I'll let BP re-open this if he wants, but come on. Eddie didn't invent the guitar nor did he make Musicman what it is today.

Mmmkay?
