Why no Ernie Ball on the SUB 1`s headstock?

Sorry if this is known but i`m new to EBMM guitars. I`ve noticed on all the EBMM guitars its says Ernie Ball MusicMan on the headstock except the Sub 1`s which only say MusicMan. Why is this? Thank you.

It's because at one point and maybe still to come, the Ernie Ball brand was going to be separated from the MusicMan brand.
The same holds true with the Bongo.

It's a tricky marketing issue either way.

I've read that before, too. I'm sure BP would have his reasons for seperating the names. But, I'm hoping it doesn't happen.
