Is there a reason why? I know you can choose colour options and pup combos and neck woods, but why not a headstock orientation version? I for one would love to order one with a reverse headstock.

Thing is, with the 5 bolt joint, you can't just get a lefty neck and throw it in. the bolts don't fit.

So... Who'd like one?

White,

Which way would you reverse it??

Normally, it's a headstock that is already factory slanted in a certain direction, and then offered in reverse for variety.

Or am I missing something?

Once you start reversing things who knows where you'll end up.

And once that door is opened people might be wanting this:

I don't see how it would work with EBMM's headstock config. I have an old washburn N4 with a reverse headstock that looks really funky. I think that's really because all the tuners are on one side. For me, that's the only way it really works aesthetically.

Was that the actual repaired 5150 headstock or a copy?

I love the small standard headstock on the Balls, painted or not. Classic and original.

Lionel,

Whenever I'm idly laying out the specs for my dream EBMM DrBob Signature model Axis or AL(Because obviously BP and the crew are dying to release a guitar for a guy who mostly sits on his couch doing bad Pink Floyd rips) I always always have a reverse headstock on them.

So yeah definitely love the look

Reverse headstocks are supposed to give better intonation from what I hear? Is that true? If so, EB's patented design for their headstock (keeping it in seriously PERFECT tune) without those damn string trees, would mean reversing it would throw everything out of whack. Right?

With a 4-2 config it surely makes very little difference??
If you insist, buy a lefty model, dowel them and swap necks....on balance I's say shut up & play!

I vote no. The headstocks rock exactly the way they are.
I suppose that if you wanted one badly enough, you could order a left-handed model, string it upside down, and learn to play lefty-style. It might take a couple of years, but you'd have you a reverse headstock!!
