EVH is no longer endorsed by EBMM he now works and uses Fender/EVH replica's so using an Axis/EVH modle would breech his contract etc.

its a shame though

I know but I thought the pics were cool. Trader I know but we do owe the Axis to him and EB.

I'll be the martyr here! Even though EVH may be a scoundrel, the guitars I play are a constant reminder of him. He has a special place in my heart. I'll provide myself as the sacrifice. On behalf of the other knuckleheads; moderator, whenever you're ready - let the "lockdown" begin!

Well, I'll just say I'm disappointed in Ed and his choice to leave one of the coolest customs ever made. Maybe we can gain satisfaction in knowing he's been chasing this guitar ever since he left EBMM...?

The design for the guitar was done by Dudley and the EBMM crew before the involvement of EVH.

This is history and best left in the past.

Now..... About the KOA Axis......

My assumption is that he'll have a signature guitar for the masses with Fender before too long. Until then I assume he'll play whatever the heck he wants.

No biggie. I just hope the band doesn't self destruct yet again. What EVH plays changes nothing about the quality and craftsmanship of the Axis or of my EVH model.

It's all good.

I'm not trying to push at all. Nor did I mean to make it sound like it was Ed's design. I was giving EBMM full credit. I just wanted to proclaim my love for the Axis! On the other hand, it kind of sounds like Ed really didn't do too much of the design. He made it sound like he was very hands on in the project. I'm sure the history of the build is floating on the forums here...

Guys ... for the zillionth time Sterling has asked that we don't waste any more bandwidth talking about EVH.

Go to another forum to talk about him (right now the "Huge Racks Inc" forum has a discussion about his new guitar). Let's leave this alone here.

Hey BP I know you were joking, but no posts in this thread state that the Wolfgang is not a Peavey. So here it is, that is not a Peavey! Visual difference is in the headstock. This is a new EVH brand Wolfgang, made by FM!C. Pls thread, now go to sleep. ;)
